To Post or not to Post, that is the question! [Part 1]
Good morning, good afternoon or good evening!
Thank you and welcome to the first of many blogs where I talk nothing but social media!
Fun fact: Did you know one of the best times to post on Facebook is a Wednesday at 3:00pm? (Source)
I’ll begin with some of the fundamental Dos and Don’ts of social media within the dental industry.
Starting with the Dos:
- Read and understand the GDC guidance on advertising and using social media.
- Have your own practice social media policy.
- Ask your patients for a five-star review on Google & Facebook.
- Learn how to reply to all reviews, positive and negative.
- Ask for the patient’s explicit written consent specific to social media.
- Encourage patients to give video reviews.
- Make clear that a treatment advertised may not be appropriate for every patient.
- Post photos and videos that are both fun and professional.
And most importantly…..
- Post a Selfie!
