Winning on Instagram – tips on how to get more likes on your posts

Perhaps these helpful tips on how to increase the likes on your Instagram posts can be included in your social media strategy?
- – Share the images/videos that work. Take the time to analyse previous posts to see what got the most likes and engagement from your followers. If you have a new account then have a look at your ‘competitors’ posts to see what is working for them. You can expect photos (with specific filters or unfiltered) and designed images (with overlay text) will generally yield good results.
- – Scheduled posts for times that get the best interaction. There are a number of helpful apps out there that can help you automate and schedule your posts for specific times of the day. As for finding out the best time to post, you will have to do your research and find out when your followers are online, however, there is research available which indicates the most active times but they vary for industry and country.
- – Reshare your Instagram posts to your other social media platforms and vice versa. This is a great way of pulling followers from other accounts.
- – Like other posts. It helps to like the posts of random users you don’t currently follow, this can be done from the popular newsfeed and popular hashtags section. You will notice some users begin to like your content and follow you without the need to follow back.
