Dental marketing tips; how to avoid Google penalties
When it comes to attracting new patients to your dental surgery, marketing and rankings alongside search engine optimisation are as important as ever.
Indeed, having a dental website that is ranked high on Google will increase the number of people who see the web page, which will enhance engagement and lead to a higher conversion rate from site visitors to dental patients.
Thus, it is important to know about one of the most dreaded areas of SEO and the Google algorithm; Google penalties.
At Dental Focus, we are all too aware of how devastating Google penalties for your dental marketing campaign can be, and so, when you come to us for SEO and marketing, we will always ensure that everything we do for your surgery page is by the book, to avoid your website dropping in the rankings.
But what exactly are Google penalties, how do they impact your dental marketing plan, and how do we as a marketing team avoid them? Read on to find out!
What are Google penalties?
Google has a set of guidelines that websites and marketing teams need to follow in relation to a website being ranked higher.
And if these guidelines are violated, Google can drop your surgery page in the rankings or remove it completely from all listings. Not great! As this will impact terribly on any dental marketing strategy you have, our team at Dental Focus will not violate these terms and will keep your website on the good side of the Google algorithm!
How to avoid Google penalties
Of course, there are instances in which it may appear that your page has violated Google’s guidelines, but you actually haven’t. So, here are some of the things our team does to ensure that your website is not removed from the rankings.
Keywords
It is easy to stuff keywords into an article to get a higher ranking on Google, but it is a big no-no and could lead to the page being removed. When our team writes the content for your website or your blog, we will use the keywords as often as needed (3 times maximum) to boost the SEO.
Shallow or AI-generated content
The content on your dental surgery website needs to be unique. Not only that, but it needs to be deep, have the keywords and be relevant. However, Google has developed software known as BERT that can detect articles or content that are shallow or AI-generated. This can lead to punishments and your website being removed. Luckily, we have a team of trained writers who use their minds and knowledge over AI, so you don’t have to worry about this!
Spam content
As before, your website needs to have unique content that is relevant to it. If it is packed with spam content, you can expect that this will be flagged by Google bots, and your page may be removed or dropped. We do not use spam content at Dental Focus and will only put content on your web page that is relevant.
These are just some of the tips that we use. For more information about marketing, please call our team at Dental Focus today!
